The Research Center for Infectious Diseases Affiliated to Yazd Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences has started its activities since 2003 with the cooperation of professors and researcher. The center's activities mainly include research on the prevention, diagnosis,k treatment and control of infectious diseases.

Head of the Center from the beginning, Dr. Jamshid Ayatollahi, an expert in infectious diseases, is currently working with a team of specialists in the field of infectious diseases in order to achieve the goals of the Center. Fortunately, our center was approved with the help and active cooperation of researchers and members by the expansion council of Iran's health ministry in 2014.
