Introducing the group
The Department of Parasitology and Mycology is one of the departments of basic medical sciences that was officially formed in 2006 and is located in the School of Medicine located on the campus of the university and provides educational services and research activities. The main activities of the group include: teaching students about parasitology, mycology and medical entomology in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, midwifery, nursing, laboratory sciences, health and paramedical disciplines and senior students of parasitology, microbiology, safety Pathology and pathology assistants in the theoretical, practical, internship and internship fields. In this regard, excellent ranks have been obtained many times in national basic medical exams. (Acquisition of first and excellent ranks in the basic medical sciences exams of the country, admission of students of this university in undergraduate, graduate etc.
Teaching and holding internships in parasitology, mycology, associate and bachelor of laboratory sciences, holding scientific conferences, club journals, seminars and retraining classes.
The postgraduate course in parasitology for the group was approved by the relevant development council in 2012, and the first admission course for parasitology students with 4 students has been studying since September 2013.
Research by conducting applied research projects in the field of parasitic, fungal and insect diseases common in Iran and in the province.
Carrying out basic research projects in the field of drug development, diagnostic methods and prevention.
Carrying out research projects in the fields of cell, molecular, cell culture.
This group has 7 faculty members (2 associate professors, 2 assistant professors and 1 instructor), and also has 1 science expert Laboratory, 1 Master of Mycology and 1 Expert of Laboratory Science is a part-time manpower plan.
